studied business engineering at the University of Karlsruhe and business administration at the University of Oregon, Eugene. He received his doctoral degree with a dissertation on auctions with a posted price option (“Buy It Now” or “Buy Price”) from the University of Karlsruhe in 2005. From 2008 to 2011 he was Junior Professor and head of the research group Industrial Organisation in Telecommunication Markets at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Since 2011 he has been full professor and holds the Chair for Technology and Innovation Management at the University of Bayreuth. His research interests particularly focus on the theoretical and experimental analysis of auctions. The application of game-theoretical methods and concepts in strategic management and economic policy are further subjects of interest.
